Veronica Flores, CEO of Rising Communities

Veronica Flores is Chief Executive Officer of Rising Communities, formerly Community Health Councils, an anchor institution serving the communities of South Los Angeles and beyond. In this role she leads the organization’s work to build equitable systems in partnership with community leaders. 

In her 30+ years as an activist, entrepreneur, and nonprofit executive, Veronica has focused on disrupting and dismantling the inequitable systems that continue to drive disparities across the nation. Prior to joining Rising Communities, she was President of Triple Notion, a consultant group providing strategic leadership and capacity building to nonprofits, and was an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Southern California – Sol Price School of Public Policy.

Julie Menin, Council Member, New York City

NYC Council Member Julie Menin

Council Member Julie Menin represents Council District 5 in Manhattan which includes East Harlem, Roosevelt Island, the Upper East Side, and Sutton Place. In 2023, she led the effort to create legislation establishing the nation’s first municipal Office of Healthcare Accountability to improve price transparency and affordability of healthcare in NYC.

An attorney and civic leader with over two decades of experience in the public and private sectors, Julie Menin most recently served as the City’s Census Director achieving a historic result where NYC finished number one of all major cities. She has served as Commissioner of the Department of Consumer Affairs and Commissioner of Media and Entertainment. She previously served as a Columbia adjunct professor teaching on city and state government, preemption, and home rule.


Donna Lynne, Dr.P.H., CEO of Denver Health

Donna Lynne, CEO of Denver Health

Donna Lynne, Dr.P.H., brings decades of experience as a senior health care leader and public servant to Denver Health as their newest Chief Executive Officer. Prior to leading Denver Health, Dr. Lynne was an executive leader at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals. From 2016-2019, she served as Lietenant Governor of Colorado, where she led health care policy reform and implementation. Lynne has been listed among Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Women in Healthcare and has been recognized with the Distinguished Coloradan Award from the University of Colorado Denver.
