Deprescribing for patient safety

Why should patient safety advocates care about medication overload? The World Health Organization identifies polypharmacy as a key challenge to safe medication use. The Lown Institute project on medication overload includes key ways that policymakers, clinicians, patients, and families can help reduce the harm caused by too many medications.
