Kelsey Chalmers

Kelsey joined the Lown Institute in early 2020. Prior to this, she worked as a health policy researcher at the University of Sydney, Australia, where she also received her PhD in public health, with a focus on measuring overuse of medical care. She graduated from the University of Queensland with a degree in Mathematics and Statistics. Starting 2025, Kelsey is a Scholar in Residence on a project with AcademyHealth and the ABIM Foundation on medical debt and trust in healthcare. She is also serving as the current chair of the AcademyHealth Quality and Value Interest Group Advisory Committee.
